The Full Power of an Agile Supply Chain
The ability to produce high-quality garments in record time could potentially be the biggest competitive advantage in today’s fashion landscape. At Labwear Studios, we have spent the past three years building an agile supply chain that enables brands to break free from the constraints of traditional manufacturing timelines. Our recent collaboration with Jet Set is the perfect example of this system’s full potential.

Jet Set is the original pioneer of luxury ski wear, founded in St. Moritz in 1969, it fused high-performance gear with bold, unapologetic style. Jet Set continues to redefine luxury skiwear with innovative fabrics and creative designs while maintaining its commitment to high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship, solidifying its status as a symbol of style and performance on the slopes. When they approached us with a request that their established manufacturers deemed impossible, we knew it was going to be a challenge: replicate two archive pieces with custom fits, construction, and prints, all within a five-week timeline for their upcoming launch event.
Three Years of Building the Perfect Process
From the moment Jet Set approached us, we got to work by developing the cutting patterns and a 3D sample to confirm fit and print placement. To verify print quality and sizing, we developed strike-offs in DTG on a Kornit Atlas machine, given Jet Set’s high expectation for quality and precision. All of this happening within one week’s timeframe to get bulk production started.

A Walkthrough of the Process: From Sampling to Production
The pieces we produced were based on archival designs, classic items brought back to life with modern techniques and materials. Due to the pieces being archival there was a lot to get right, so we prioritized custom fits and construction, ensuring that every detail was perfected. Our team worked closely with Jet Set, ensuring the final product met their high standards. Through our integrated factory network in Portugal, we were able to allocate priority production slots, allowing us to streamline the entire workflow, guaranteeing delivery within the tight five-week window. In an industry where traditional manufacturing models are often rigid and outdated, we provide an alternative that respects heritage while embracing the future.

Empowering Brands Through Agility

More and more, we see brands wanting to create unique pieces specifically for events, but traditional production timelines don’t always align with event planning. Jet Set needed garments ready for a specific moment, and our agile supply chain made that possible. This is the future of fashion, brands should not have to rely on slow, outdated systems when they need high-quality, limited run products on short notice.
An agile supply chain can be the difference between success and missed opportunity. It’s a tool that allows brands to remain competitive, relevant, and in control of their vision and consumer demand.
